Fun with the Baldwins

It's Jenny and Nathan party week!
Aunt Jenny and Uncle Nathan came to town for a week of family fun.  We had a spicy chicken cookout at Grandma P's house, took an exciting adventure at Thanksgiving Point's Ashton Gardens and Butterfly Biosphere, family movie night, saw "The Little Mermaid" musical at the Terrace Plaza Playhouse in Ogden (it was the first play the kids had been to and they LOVED every second of it!), and lots of relaxation time.  It was a great week filled with fun.  We're so glad when they come from Arizona to party with us Utah folk.  

Spicy dinner chicken nugget at G'ma P's and Dustin holding baby Diana and great niece Stella (Kaylin's daughter).  Dustin loves a baby!

Owen fell in love with Arial and John laughed his head off at Sebastian.  Maeve fell in love with the Theater.  She wants season tickets for her birthday.

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preference for warm

We Returned to a Blessing

We came home to a HUGE blessing. Our house is still here and didn't sustain much damage. We just have to rebuild a portion of our fence and clean up dead branches and we are good to groove again. We don't have power yet, but I anticipate that it will come online soon. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I know the Lord greatly blessed us on this one. We came home and made sure we gave a prayer of thanks for His mercy on us. We hope we can get out there and start helping folks who didn't fair as well as we did soon.
