Naughty or Nice, She's Watching You

Image
I couldn't decide which screaming face was better, so I'll post both.  Poor Owen was not having anything to do with Santa when he so kindly came to visit League City this year at the Helen Hall Library.  Everyone spent the last week rehearsing what they were going to tell Santa they want for Christmas this year, but when we got to the front of the line and they had their shot to tell the jolly old man himself, everyone except Xavier froze and completely forgot what they wanted, or even how to talk.  :)  Merry Christmas from the star struck Cornelius kids!   ***** While cleaning up the girls' room I found this pair of notes that shed a lot of light on the mysterious process of how Santa always knows who has been naught and who has been nice.  It appears that someone has the inside edge on holiday news.  :)  Loyd & Xavier     I help Santa and his elves by making sure u r good.  And what u like. Sincerely, Rebekah  Dear Xavier & Loyd,

We had fun at the Dickinson Festival of Lights this weekend. The lights were beautiful and it is always nice to get out and do something together as a family this time of year.  It was a bit nippy outside, so we felt obligated to pull out our coats.  :)   This is what 54 degrees F looks like for us.  :D  ***** And this is what happens when you leave a 3 year old Maeve alone with a bunch of stickers in the backseat of the van.  Personally, I think she looks pretty amazing. She's very bright, you know.  :)

Happy Birthday Owen!

Happy 1st birthday to my sweet Baby O! This year has gone by at an incredible speed as I have had the joy of watching you grow and learn.  I have loved watching your personality shine as I have gotten to know and love you better as your mother this past year.  From your deliberate approach to crawling, to your much appreciated love and preference for your Mommy, I have seen your loving and thoughtful nature manifest itself.  You have the best giggles, that you save just for us; and you make the funniest little faces when you try new foods, weather you like them or not.  There are few pleasures in life as fun as playing a good game of "Surprise!" or "Peek A Boo" with you, just to hear you giggle hysterically.  You are a joy and delight to watch as you explore this beautiful world and blessed life the Lord has given to you. I have seen the Light of Christ shine in your beautiful blue eyes as you look on all you meet with love.  I keep pinching myself tha

I'm just saying....

Science Fair 2015

Congratulations to Rebekah for taking 5th place in the Physical Science portion of the elementary school science fair this year!  Her topic was on the relationship between salinity and buoyancy.  Her experiment was to figure out how much salt it takes to make an egg float in water.  She did an awesome job of picking her topic, researching it, conducting her experiment, recording her results, and finally presenting her awesome results. Go Rebekah!

It's good to see Rebekah harnass the power of lists
