Speed Demon and Other News

Last Sunday after we got home from Church I came across a bit of a surprise. Everyone was unbuckled from their car seats and headed inside. I had put the Church bag away and was watering the plants in the back yard when I heard the car horn beep. Very much puzzled, I peeked into the garage to find this. Loyd was playing in the car and having the time of his life! The keys were out and the parking brake was on, so Dustin decided to let him play in the car for a bit. Loyd was twisting the wheel, beeping the horn, turning the windshield wipers on and off and giggling the entire time. He was in heaven. I guess we will have to keep a close eye on this little man as he gets older. I have a feeling he won't be able to get his driver's license fast enough. In other news of the week, we have begun venturing out into our yard again. We planted our square food garden with peas, bush beans, lettuce, spinach, strawberries, green peppers and tomatoes. Let's hope something grow

Happy Birthday Loyd!

Loyd turned 2 years old this week! He is such a joy to have around. He always has a twinkle in his eye and a ready grin on his face. He is full of laughter and quick to keep me on my toes. I can't believe two years have passed so quickly. We love you! We had his party with some friends last Friday and then Loyd got a second cake for his real birthday. I don't think that is too shabby a deal. Happy birthday little man! I had to include this sweet picture of Bekah. It's not often I can catch her with the camera with a sweet little smile. She usually gives me her big cheeser grin or no smile at all. Isn't my baby girl beautiful! Bekah gave her first talk in Primary today. It was about the 3rd Article of Faith and the Atonement. She practiced it several times for me, Daddy and Loyd during the week. She did a great job during her practices. And it turns out that all that practice payed off. She did a fabulous job in Primary. She was confident and spoke

Happy Valentine's Day

It's been a fun week. We celebrated Loyd's birthday a little early with some of his friends on Friday. We had pizza and an ice cream cake and let the kids play like wild monsters throughout the house. I think they had fun. :>) Here's a quick shot of our cute little Loyd. He'll officially turn 2 years old on Tuesday. Check out the awesome ice cream cake I made for him. Yea, it's pretty cool. I think he liked it. The current favorite pretend games are "Superheros and Princesses" and "Camping." I haven't gotten a shot of the first game in progress yet, but here is "Camping." I'm thinking I should support and promote this game, as it mostly involves pretending to sleep. :>D On a rainy Wednesday Bekah and her friend Bjorn decided to make a "huge" dinosaur train in the back yard. I think they did a pretty amazing job all by themselves. It kept them busy for a good hour or so. It extended from the real hous

Eating Us Out of House and Home

Image
Well, we seem to have bottomless pits for children this week. Bekah and Loyd have both been eating like 3 kids each. As you can tell from the pile of Goldfish Loyd retrieved out of the cupboard and poured for himself, this kid is hungry! Here's another shot of Loyd taking his crazy hunger into his own hands. He can get the cereal boxes down and eat as much as he likes in their current location. I'm either going to have to let the kid eat until he's full or hide the cereal. I think I'll leave the cereal. This is just a funny shot we took today of Rebekah in her apron. When she isn't eating real food she is busy making and "eating" pretend food. I like the new way of wearing an apron. Pretty fashionable, don't you think? ;>) Here are two shots which tell the story of how Xavier feels about getting his picture taken. I think he is afraid of the flash or of how I look when I hold the camera up to my face. (The view screen has been broken ever
