After another great academic year with wonderful, kind, knowledgeable teachers, good friends, and lots of progress we have found ourselves at the beginning of summer break once more.  Let the summer extravaganza begin! Maeve and Rebekah are enjoying art classes for the month of June at the University of Clear Lake's Art for Children program.   We are having sewing lessons once a week in the mornings with our friends, keeping up on our piano lessons, going to the library and tracking way too many summer reading logs, playing at the pool, and going to camps, and of course hitting the BEACH!!!  Boom!  Beach Day! We'll keep you updated on all our summer fun/business!  Yea summer!

 To better accommodate our growing family we have taken on a fun construction and remodeling job for our home.  We are in the process of turning our garage into an extra bathroom, bedroom, office, and utility room, while we build a detached garage to the side.  It's been fun and we've learned lots of awesome things about our home like our foundation is crazy strong, and our house is framed in red wood, making it nearly bug proof.  So cool! The New Construction: Bye, bye beautiful Water Oak trees.  Progress demands change... New garage foundation is dug and ready for concrete  All framed out! Now for the Remodel Before In progress...  Ready for new cement to raise the old garage to match the house floor.  Nice and new concrete  Kids with hammers, what better way to spend your Saturday morning!  Interior drywall removal - Thank goodness for good friends and lax kid labor laws.  ;P

He's cute and cuddly.  He sleeps through the night.  We can't get enough of his squishy, kissey cheeks.  He's John!  Oh how we all love him!         Boss Baby Takes a Nap

Happy 14th Anniversary to this great guy!  We celebrated in style - taking the three littlest kids to Houston to a delicious pancake brunch and afternoon at the Houston Museum of Natural History.  We loved walking the public gardens, checking out the Cockrell Butterfly Center, and visiting the Knights exhibit in addition to all of the great stuff in their permanent collection.  It was a super fun afternoon with my great hubby and kids. 

Maeve had a wonderful year attending Trooper School Preschool this year.   She made lots of wonderful friends, had amazing high schooler teachers, and learned lots of wonderful kindergarten ready skills.  Every day was a joy for Maeve at Preschool.  At her graduation she received the award for "Hardest Worker" and made sure to cheer and clap for all of her fun preschool friends as they walked across the stage to receive their own diplomas and certificates. Maeve will miss her friends, the great high school Trooper Teachers, Miss Christine the head teacher, her time at the different educational centers during the day, the fun field trips, and all of the recess time, but she is eagerly looking forward to kindergarten and all that the learning and growing she will do in elementary school.  In fact, Maeve is so excited to go to Kindergarten that the day after her preschool graduation she got herself up and dressed and ate some breakfast then announced she was ready to catch
