Baby Food

Now for our word definition of the day according to the LCLD (League City Loyd Dictionary). Baby Food: Small peaches on our peach tree that aren't yet ripe. The weather is rapidly warming up here in southeast Texas. This week we broke out the swimming pool and enjoy getting wet with some friends. The weather was warm, the water was cool and the kids were extremely enthusiastic. After a few hours of water fun we cut up some watermelon for a snack. This innocent looking group of kids managed to eat the ENTIRE watermelon in about half and hour. It was an amazing feat. Happy spring!

Human Food

For those of us who are stuck in the city without horses we have to get creative with our modes of transportation. Loyd tamed a cheetah to run him around the back yard, and Rebekah convinced this gentle giraffe to take her on leisurely rides over the vast savannas of League City. Last week as we drove to church Rebekah decided to let Xavier taste her pretzel. He liked the taste of the salt and sucked with enthusiasm for a few minutes. His enthusiasm for the new taste got Rebekah really excited. She called to us in the front seat, "Mom! Mom! Xavier likes human food!" So there you have it, Xavier likes human food.

Happy Easter

We hope everyone had a great Easter last week! We invited some friends over, had an exciting little egg hunt and settled in for two solid days of Conference. As you can see, the kids had a ton of fun looking for eggs. We hid candy in several dozen plastic eggs and placed them around the back yard. Once the children were released from the house there was running, squealing in delight, and munching on jelly beans by all who participated. Bekah made sure I knew she was good at finding eggs. She reiterated several times to me this talent was due to her excellent eye sight. Loyd just had fun finding the eggs. He got quite the thrill out of discovering another hidden treasure trove of chocolate and happiness. Along with some sidewalk chalk, new beach toys and some candy the Easter Bunny dropped off some play dough. This has become one of their new favorite things to play. They roll it, smash it, shape it, cut it and try to eat it when mom isn't paying attention. Loyd will e
