Easter Carnival

Image
This weekend we enjoyed a very fun neighborhood Easter egg hunt and carnival. We found a lot of eggs, met some new neighbors, and had a great time. We are grateful for the time and work put in to make this event happen. Here are some high lights of the afternoon. Note: The number of pictures of each child is not dependent on how cute they were, but rather is a result of how quickly they could move from one activity to the next. Sorry Bekah, you're super speedy. :>) Here are Bekah and Loyd counting their haul after the fast paced egg hunt. They did really well. Bekah found 23 eggs (the third highest egg count) and Loyd found 14 eggs all on his own. Xavier took home the prize for the least amount of eggs found with a whopping egg count of 2. Loyd on the prowl for hidden eggs. Maybe standing like that helps him detect hidden candy better than standing like a normal boy. :) I love this face. Nothing stinks worse than an empty Easter egg. Firetruck Fun and a New Nick Name

Image
We went to a fun birthday party this week where the local fire department was kind enough to bring a couple of their shiny engines over and talk to the kids about their work and explore let them the interesting trucks. They could see all the tools and hoses; they could sit inside and pretend to drive; they could even try on a real fireman's uniform. Bekah soaked up everything the firemen had to teach her about their neat equipment and important job. Loyd was a bit overwhelmed by the large size of their trucks and wasn't quite sure what to do. He did know he didn't want to climb inside one though. Xavier just coolly sat back and soaked up the experience. Thank you fire department for letting us explore your neat fire engines! On a more important note, we have a child with an official nick name now! That's right. We can now call Xavier, "Waffle." It fits him perfectly. He enjoys this breakfast food, he is sweet and often sticky, and has

Matching Park Shirts!

Last week at the grocery store we ran into the Cabot Cheese man. He was handing out free cheese samples and very stylish yellow t-shirts advertising his product. Not able to resist the adorable nature of 3 crying, noisy kids he kindly offered us yummy cheese squares and matching t-shirts. I LOVE these shirts. They make tracking the kids at the park amazingly simple. I can spot them anywhere in seconds. Thanks Cabot Cheese Guy! This weekend we have been lucky enough to enjoy LDS General Conference. The boys have enjoyed snuggling their dad on the big comfy chair and I couldn't resist snapping a few shots of this handsome trio. Bekah is finally big enough to wear the jumper I made her last year. I think she looks pretty cute in polka dots, don't you? She says she likes the 3 pockets (one on each side and one in the front) the best about the dress. :)
