Working Life

Image
Check out the cute new bag boy at Ridley's Grocery Store (technically he's called a courtesy clerk)!   I couldn't be prouder of this hard working young man.  Loyd went out on his own to make a resume, track down job leads, interview for jobs, and finally scored himself a sweet, sweet position at Ridley's Family Market.  The grocery store is the one his Grandpa and Grandma Phillips help build in the late '80s, but later sold to another owner.   Grandpa Phillips first entered the workforce as a bag boy at a local grocery store and I know he is smiling from Heaven that his grandson is too.  I know Loyd will work hard and be a credit to the family.  Go Loyd! With Loyd moving on to more formal work, the big boys decided Maeve needed to learn how to mow lawns to help Xavier with his budding lawn mowing business (Okay, it's just his grandparents and one of Grandma P's friends, but still!).   Xavier coached Maeve on her first ever attempt to mow the lawn.  I think s

CiCi Eats Only Garden Fresh Spinach

Image
Farmer McGregor had Peter Rabbit.  I have CiCi Bunny.  She turns her cute little nose up at spinach from the grocery store, but she seems to have no problem sucking down the tender young spinach leaves trying to grow in my vegetable patch as soon as they appear. :D Oh well, at least she's eating her greens.  :D

She Eats People Food!

Image
Diana loves her high chair, but she LOVES her baby food more!  Or maybe she just loves that one of her favorite people in the whole world is helping her eat her first bites!  Diana had her first official meal of baby food on Friday, May 26th. She was 6 months and 3 days old and so ready to eat!  Whole wheat cereal, Yum!

Owen Tumbles

Image
That's year 2 of tumbling for Owen in the books!  He did great, worked hard, and had lots of fun at tumbling class every week this year.  Check out this boy doing an impressive backbend!  Go Owen! Owen at the family night tumbling review where the kids get to show off to their parents all of the progress they have made this year and all the fun tricks they learned.

She Swings!

Image
Diana got to try out the swing for the first time the Sunday after Mother's Day.  At first she was firmly against it.  It made her tummy do weird things she was stressed about.  However, after spending a little time with us and going slow she discovered that the swing is actually quite fun, even if it still makes her tummy do weird things.  :)  Hold on to your hats!  She's flying!

Brother Time

Image
Just when you think that life is boring and there is nothing to do, the brothers swoop in and bring the fun!  How lucky is this little girl to have such loving and playful brothers! Who needs a rubber ducky when you have a brother?  Playing with John during bath time is way more entertaining than some fake duck! Owen needed a viewing buddy for some of his favorite cartoons.  He nominated Diana for the job and she was happy to comply.  :D  Who loves to play in the yard?  ME!!
