1898 Grand Opera House Galveston Kids Art Festival 2nd Place Winner 2019!

Out of over 1500 entries Rebekah was awarded as the 2nd place winner in the 7th/8th grade Children's Art Festival at The Grand in Galveston this year.  I am so proud of my budding artist and the honor of this award.  She and I had a great time driving to Galveston after school to paint a recreation of her submission on a banner that will be hung up in historic downtown Galveston for the next year!  It was fun working along side my beautiful girl and seeing her experience success in something she loves and works so hard at every day.  Congrats, Rebekah!  I can't think of anything more fun we could have done with our evening together.  Yea!  My daughter is an artist!

Happy Birthday, Loyd! Party Time!

It's hard to believe that it has already been 11 years since you came into my life and filled it with so much love and so many smiles.  Every day is a joy and an adventure with you.  You have one of the most forgiving and generous hearts I have ever known.  You are filled with compassion and patience for your family and friends. You're mind is a whirlwind of activity and ideas, but somehow you manage to focus it into fun and adventure for those around you.  I love your goofy sense of humor and your melt-my-heart smiles.  I see a future filled with potential and promise for you and I know you came into the world to make it better because I know you make me better every day.  Love you, Loyd!  Happiest of birthdays!  I am so grateful you are eternally my little boy. Valentine's Day 2019

Owen showing off his Valentine's box at his first preschool V-day party.    Happy Valentine's Day!  I can't believe we made it through another party February!  We survived my birthday, getting awesome boxes and cards ready for 4 Valentine's Day class parties, and a full day of Valentine's day fun all before we end our week of excitement and cake with Loyd's birthday!  What a week! Maeve posing after the whirlwind that is Valentine Box decorating.  I can't believe we got 4 boxes done.  It's one of my least favorite activities throughout the year, but I'm sure glad the kids enjoy the creativity and the fun with the stampers.  ;)  Maeve sporting a hair-heart for the holiday. :)  Chillin' with Xavier at his 3rd Grade Class Party.  Love my kids!  I was lucky to have all four of my rockin' school Valentine's Day parties fit perfectly into my schedule.  John and I had a great time visiting Maeve, Owen, Xavier and Loyd for th

Mr Arrow of Light!

I am so pleased with Loyd's recent Cub Scout achievement! He earned both his Webelos rank advancement and his Arrow of Light.  Wahoo!  This little man has worked so hard with the help of dedicated and patient cub leaders, his mom and dad, and his Grandma and Grandpa Phillips over 4 years to earn these awards and honors from Cub Scouts.  I am proud of his hard work and the progress he has made.  I am mostly proud of the kind, well mannered, and fun young man he is growing into.  Good job, Son!  Love you!
