This Guy is Amazing

Image
Loyd closed out his High School experience as #4 in his class ranking!  Go Loyd!  I couldn't be more proud of him!  He has worked so hard the past 4 years.  He's held down a demanding parttime job at Ridley's Grocery store, taken on challenging college and AP classes, attending the DTC to learn more about architecture and engineering, taken time to build lasting memories with his siblings, and been the best friend ever.  And he's become a spiritual powerhouse at the same time, taking time to attend Seminary, study his scriptures and his Patriarchal Blessing daily, and never forgets to open his heart up in prayer to Heavenly Father.  This guy is amazing!  He was asked to honor an important teacher to him at the first ever Morgan High School Honors Banquet.  The spirit of gratitude and love that was there was the best feeling.  I'm so proud of Loyd and his recognition of Mrs. Heidi Miller for her love and efforts to help grow these students int...

Happy Anniversary St. Louis, MO Style

Image
22 years ago I made the best decision of my life and married this amazing man for time and all eternity in the Ogden, Utah Temple, May 1st, 2004.   The past 22 years have been the best years ever.  Navigating life with Dustin is never hard or overwhelming.  He simply goes with the flow, never stopping his outflow of unconditional flow for me.  The last 22 years have gone by in a snap and I can't wait to see what fun and adventure the next 22 years bring.  Love you with all my heart Dustin! Why St. Louis, MO you ask?  Well, Dustin happened to have a work trip to St. Louis the same week as our anniversary so I tagged along and we tacked on a few extra days to his work trip to enjoy the sights of beautiful St. Louis.  Of course we visited the National Arch, but we also had fun at the Missouri Botanical Gardens (one of the oldest in the country), visited the free St. Louis City Zoo and the St Louis Art Museum, we went on a fascinating architectural to...

Disneyland Band Trip Fun!

Image
I got to go as a chaperone of 1 on the High School Band trip to Disneyland!! I was Xavier's personal medical expert to assist with any Diabetes needs he should have while on the trip.  What that means is I got to have an awesome week with Xavier having lots of fun and making some precious memories with this amazing kid.  We rode every ride we could think of (I didn't even get sick or dizzy! I'm not old yet!), ate lots of yummy things, saw some pretty spectacular shows, and had the best time hanging out together.  We walked 13 miles around Disneyland our fist day and 15.5 miles our second day at Disney.  We were walk-stars!  This time with Xavier goes down in the book of my heart as some of my most treasured time with just him.  What a special experience to be with this elect young man and have him all to myself, no distractions.  Thanks for letting your boring old mom tag along Xavier!  Xavier, the highlight of your trip for you might have been Bl...

It's Great to Be 8! John Got Baptized!

Image
John made the decision to be baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and make important covenants with our Savior to follow Him, take His name upon him, and to serve his fellow men.  I am so proud of John and the choice he made. He's a special Spirit.  I know God is proud of John too.  When I was John's Primary teacher and he was just 5 years old we were learning a beautiful song called "I Will Follow Jesus."  After we finished singing it for one of our practiced, John leaned over to me and said with such enthusiasm and love, "I want to follow Jesus!"  On this day John showed the world that he has and will continue to follow Jesus.  I love this kid.  Congratulations John!
