Summer Camp Extravaganza!

There was 4-H camps, Ogden Nature Center camps, and church camps galore this summer.  It was the best summer ever for John because it was his first year of going to day camp and he LOVED it!  He now wears his 4-H and Ogden Nature Center camp t-shirts everywhere so people can tell he went to camp.  Owen had a fantastic time building Lego robots and learning all about the constellations at a late night camp cookout.  Maeve had her first ever overnight campout at the Ogden Nature Center, had a blast, and then turned around 2 days later for her first ever church Young Women's Camp where she became a zipline expert.  Xavier and Loyd humored their mother and bravely survived a week of FSY church camp.  Xavier spent the week at the Provo BYU campus (Owen declared that we needed to move there when he stepped onto campus and felt how special it was at BYU), and Loyd made it through the Weber campus experience in Ogden.  Rebekah has been too busy working and getting excited about going to college at BYU this Fall to attend summer camp this year, but she's enjoying her time at home and dreaming of college just as much this year.

On Maeve's third day of camp in Ogden I got a call from one of the counselors to see if I could run a pair of replacement pants up to her.  I thought I would find a small hole in her pants, instead it was a huge tear from waist to mid thigh!  Apparently she got her pants and underwear stuck on a tree while trying to climb down and was left hanging mid air with an epic wedgie!  Maeve had a great sense of humor about it and we got a great memory from camp :D
