Elder Cornelius

It's official now.  Loyd was set apart as a full time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on his Dad's birthday, Tuesday, October 27th at 7:30PM.  We took the whole family to watch him be set apart to dedicate the next 2 years of his life to the Lord's service.  The Spirit was incredible.  Elder Cornelius is going to make a wonderful missionary.  His desire to do the Lord's work to his best ability is inspiring and he fills our house with blessings every day as he spends the next week doing Home MTC Prep with us.  He stands tall in his service and proudly shows why he carries the Savior's name over his heart all day, every day.

Loyd has been called to serve the lucky people of the Vancouver, Washington Mission.  He finishes Home MTC and reports to the Provo MTC on Wednesday, November 4th.  He'll be in Washington State by November 14th.  It feels like it took forever to get to this moment and now the time is rushing past me too fast.  I'm not ready to let him grow up and move forward with his adventure as a young adult, but I also wouldn't keep him from these experiences and the journey ahead for anything in the world.  Loyd is exactly where he needs to be, doing exactly what he needs to do right now.  He will be a force for good in the world and I can't wait to see how he grows and matures into a valiant Man in Christ.

Good luck, safe travels, and always remember Heavenly Father and your mama love you!!
