Summer Fun 2026

What do we do to fill the time when we aren't busy going to summer camps or celebrating America?  Why, we have lots of fun mini adventures close to home, of course!
Diana and I explored Zoo Utah at the Hogle Zoo together.  Diana makes a beautiful butterfly!

Loyd taught John what a water ride was at Lagoon

We won a Utah Pollinator Grant to take out some of our front lawn and plant native Utah plant to help support local pollinator populations.  Yea!!!!  We're working hard to kill a bunch of grass in our front yard to prepare for the native plants to come this Autumn! Yea for black plastic and yea for celebrating our native local plants and pollinators!

Bekah has an eventful Spring Term at BYU in the Russian Language Housing.  We had fun bringing her down and bringing her back home again at the end of the term.  Bekah had fun practicing her Russian language skills and sharing some of her favorite dinner recipes with her roommates.

Bekah's home!  Let the sibling kitchen craft/cooking time fun begin!!

Loyd braved the roof to rescue a much needed Frisbee.

John wanted to try out a mullet.

We visited Scheel's for the first time.  The indoor Faris wheel was pretty cool.
More Thanksgiving Point fun at the Museum of Ancient History
The garden is starting to produce amazing amounts of zucchini and yellow crook neck squash!  This was from the first week!

Everyone was a good sport and endured family pictures at Donut Falls near Solitude Ski Resort

Loyd and his friend Daxon were amazing volunteers and did some painting for the Morgan Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Owen thought Diana should try out a new look.

We visited Grandpa Phillips for Father's Day at the cemetery

We've had fun swimming at the Provo Recreation Center and the Farmington Pool.

The kids rediscovered the awesomeness that is slip n' sliding down Grandma P's backyard hill.

We've had lots and lots and lots of friends over for long and happy playdates in the backyard.

We had the privilege and fun of watching a Robin family grow up in our backyard mock cherry tree.

And of course, we've had lots of fun cooling off at the Riverside Park Splash Pad.

Oh, the joys of summer.  May they last forever!
