America 250
It's the United State's 250th birthday this year and we celebrated in style! We visiting a fun garden exhibition at Thanksgiving Point Ashton Gardens and we were all in the Morgan County 4th of July Parade (except for Rebekah, who politely declined to participate in the parade, but came to watch us instead).
Thanksgiving Point Imaginaria 250 was everything you could hope for in a patriotic summer activity. There were giant American blow up eagles, fun games, yummy treats, great crafts, and a beautiful garden to enjoy.
The 4th of July Parade was a blast. Xavier, Maeve and Owen participated in the marching band for the parade. Owen was on flute, Maeve was on clarinet, and Xavier played his trombone.
My Mom, Dustin, Loyd, John, Diana and I got to ride on the Clydesdale drawn wagon and represent The Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Morgan Company. We had the best time and Diana loved to tell everyone for days that she was a pioneer child. :)
Happy Birthday to the USA! I am proud of the values and principles that were fought so hard to be won that our nation is founded upon. May it be another wonderful 250 years of having life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in the beautiful country.
