This year we celebrated Groundhog's Day deliciously with these adorable groundhog pudding desserts.  The best part was making them.  The second best part was eating them!

It's Christmas Time

It's the Christmas season and we did a few things to celebrate the Christmas cheer this year.  Diana and I and her friend Everett and his fun mom got a personal tour of the Ogden Christmas Village by none other than Mrs Clause herself!  We even got a train ride too!  I think it was the highlight of the season for Diana.  Then we took the entire family to Luminaria at Thanksgiving Point to enjoy the spectacular lights throughout the gardens.  As always, it was awe-inspiring!  We attended the annual Phillips Family Christmas Party.  Santa made an appearance and handed out gifts to all of the kids.  Diana was terrified of him and quickly hid behind my chair when the jolly old elf came into the room.  But, she quickly found her inner bravery and ran up to his lap when he produced a prettily wrapped present and called Diana's name.  She was not going to miss out on her very own gift.  It was so funny and so cute! Sunday Miracle

It was a Sunday Miracle this afternoon. Rebekah woke up from her nap and said, "I play nicely with Loyd." Then she found her brother and brought him out to play blocks with her at their little table. They shared their toys willingly and without being asked. Ah, thank goodness for small moments of sibling peace. :) On another note, we had our 24 week ultrasound on Friday. It's a boy! Loyd's getting a side kick/partner in crime. Heaven help Bekah to hold her own! I'd put a picture of the baby on the blog, but you know how ultrasound pictures tend to turn out. Nobody is completely sure what they are looking at. ;>)

July Trip to Utah

Ah, to finally sit down and write the longest blog entry of the year. How I dread, I mean look forward to this giant entry each year. We have so much fun and do so many things visiting our wonderful family and friends each summer that it feels a bit daunting trying to record it all in a single blog entry. Oh well, I'll give it a try. Hopefully I don't bore anyone too much. If you get sick of reading you can just skip through and look at the pictures. That's what I do when I get board reading someone else's blog. The pictures are the real fun of the post anyway. Our drive out to Utah this year was certainly an adventure in and of itself. We packed food, snacks, and drinks for two days, clothes and toys for three weeks, and three small children and two adults into our amazing Toyota Camry.
