Morgan County Fair Time

I always knew I had some blue ribbon kids, but now I can prove it thanks to the Morgan County Fair!

Somehow it happened.  We don't know how it happened, but it happened.  The Cornelius' entered the Morgan County Fair!

This year Rebekah, Xavier, Owen, Maeve, and John all put indoor exhibits into the county fair and they all did great!
Rebekah brought home 2 Grand Champion ribbons!!!!! for her needle work and blue ribbons for everything else.

Xavier brought home blue ribbons for posters explaining his 4-H experiences this year and for his homemade bagels.  Yum! Xavier also got to try his hand at being a small business man.  He had a vendor booth at the fair Saturday afternoon to sell universal bottle holders he made.  He worked so hard to come up with a business idea and make his product.  I'm super proud of him for trying something new.  Yea Xavier!

Maeve brought home blue ribbons for cookies and her work with the 4-H Hippity Hop Rabbit Club in showmanship, educational poster, and rabbit quality for CiCi.

Owen was quite pleased with his blue ribbons for Lego sculptures, homemade cookies, and play leaf prints he made.

John was super excited to get a ribbon for his clay leaf prints too!  It was super fun to show off everyone's artistic and engineering skills.

Loyd was too busy working at the grocery store as a curtesy clerk to have time to enter anything in the fair. Maybe next year we can get him to give it a try.  :)

I had fun helping everyone get ready for their big fair debut and I spent some time volunteering in the Senior Class Operation Graduation food booth Saturday to help raise money for Rebekah's Senior class graduation party at the end of the year.  It sure was a busy week, but we made lots of memories.

Xavier working on his water bottle holders and sitting at his vendor booth at the fair peddling his wares.

Blue Ribbon Owen!

Chickens!  There were lots of silly chickens in the small animal barn at the farm.  John decided this chicken was his favorite because it sounded like it was laughing when it clucked.

Maeve showing off her newly minted Rabbit Showmanship and Quality skills thanks to her awesome
4-H Hippity Hop Rabbit Club.  She had a wonderful time making new friends with truly sweet girls and learning how to be a better rabbit owner with CiCi.  CiCi wasn't sure she was too thrilled with this foray into the lime light, but she was a good sport to let us show her off.
