Toddler Diana Says Cute Things

Diana LOVES her Daddy.  I agree.  He's Great!

Diana is 2 years old and says the most adorable things!

  • "What happened?" - whenever she wants to know what's going on or why someone looks sad
  • "In the car. Go Beep Beep!" - lyrics to an original song written and performed by Diana when we went for a family drive to Thanksgiving Point
  • "NO!" Waggling her little finger back and forth - said forcefully every time her big brothers Xavier and Loyd tease her...which is way too often
  • "Daddy" and "Mommy" - what Diana calls us know
  • "Go Nursery!" - She says this when we don't leave the Chapel at Church fast enough to go to Nursey class.  Then she will pretend to cry if we are still too slow.
  • "Help!" - said with great emotion whenever she needs something and can't do it herself
  • Waves her hand towards her body to get the big kids to follow her
  • Calls our bunny CiCi a "hop"
  • "Play with me!  Play with me!" - when she wants  you to play dolls or pretend toys with her (which is all of the time)
  • "Okay!" - said with great excitement when she gets to do something she wants
She makes the best face too!

She LOVES to play all of the time.

Except when she is doing her second favorite thing, coloring. :D 

Diana is so much fun.  We all love having a silly toddler around to brighten every moment and bring so much joy and fun into our days.  We love you, Diana!

Not Much Happening In Our Neck of the Woods

Not much to tell from our end of Texas. We've just been keeping busy keeping busy. We have started doing a small story time on Wednesdays with a few friends. The kids love it. Rebekah likes spending time with the other kids and Loyd adores doing the finger plays. I'm sure Great Grandma Young is helping him learn all the actions. He's really quite good at them and picks up the plays rather quickly. Loyd also went in for his 18 month old well baby visit. Everything is looking good for our young man. He is tall and skinny and seems to be ahead of the curve on his developmental milestones. The pediatrician was impressed. Rebekah is turning into quite the social butterfly. She loves to play with her friends. She would have them come over every day, all day if she could. When they have to go home she turns to Loyd and spends the rest of the afternoon telling him what to do. We Returned to a Blessing

We came home to a HUGE blessing. Our house is still here and didn't sustain much damage. We just have to rebuild a portion of our fence and clean up dead branches and we are good to groove again. We don't have power yet, but I anticipate that it will come online soon. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I know the Lord greatly blessed us on this one. We came home and made sure we gave a prayer of thanks for His mercy on us. We hope we can get out there and start helping folks who didn't fair as well as we did soon. Summer Camp Extravaganza!

There was 4-H camps, Ogden Nature Center camps, and church camps galore this summer.  It was the best summer ever for John because it was his first year of going to day camp and he LOVED it!  He now wears his 4-H and Ogden Nature Center camp t-shirts everywhere so people can tell he went to camp.  Owen had a fantastic time building Lego robots and learning all about the constellations at a late night camp cookout.  Maeve had her first ever overnight campout at the Ogden Nature Center, had a blast, and then turned around 2 days later for her first ever church Young Women's Camp where she became a zipline expert.  Xavier and Loyd humored their mother and bravely survived a week of FSY church camp.  Xavier spent the week at the Provo BYU campus (Owen declared that we needed to move there when he stepped onto campus and felt how special it was at BYU), and Loyd made it through the Weber campus experience in Ogden.  Rebekah has been too busy working and get...
