Over Christmas break we had fun checking out the local indoor sea life at the Seaquest Aquarium in Layton. It's always fun to reconnect to our aquatic selves, even if we do live so far from the Ocean.
We came home to a HUGE blessing. Our house is still here and didn't sustain much damage. We just have to rebuild a portion of our fence and clean up dead branches and we are good to groove again. We don't have power yet, but I anticipate that it will come online soon. Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts. I know the Lord greatly blessed us on this one. We came home and made sure we gave a prayer of thanks for His mercy on us. We hope we can get out there and start helping folks who didn't fair as well as we did soon. John has been asking for months if his birthday would be tomorrow. For months we have had to break the sad news his birthday was no tomorrow. This month I finally had the chance to tell this cute little man that Yes! His birthday was tomorrow! We had so much fun celebrating the ray of sunshine known in our home as John. The birthday fairy decorated his bedroom door with candy, friends were invited for a super fun Paw Patrol themed party, and presents were excitedly received. We had so much fun celebrating and playing. Every day should be John's birthday! :) John is growing up to be such a goon natured and kind little boy. He writes the most heartfelt notes, gives the best hugs and snuggles, and plays the most fun games. John has a tender testimony of Jesus and Heavenly Father. He wants to do what is right and help others know they are loved too. John is a fun friend, a thoughtful brother, and a loving, obedien...

He is tall and skinny and seems to be ahead of the curve on his developmental milestones. The pediatrician was impressed. Rebekah is turning into quite the social butterfly. She loves to play with her friends. She would have them come over every day, all day if she could. When they have to go home she turns to Loyd and spends the rest of the afternoon telling him what to do. She taught him a few games with some carpet squares and has him trained on how to play a good g...
