Check out who was given the Character award for Respect at school this month!  We're so proud of our Xavier.  He works so hard, is a great friend, a good listener, and tries hard to do what is right, even when no one is looking.  You are amazing, little man!

We are super excited to have Grandma and Grandpa P visit us for a few months this winter!  To better accomidate our eagerly anticipated guests and update some much loved furniture we braved a Saturday trip to Ikea.  We all made it out alive and enjoyed trying out all of the furniture in the show room.  We even had fun finding our furniture and checking out.  But, I think the best time of all was had eatting dinner at a restraunt on our way home afterwards.  :)

 Check out my latest doily.  I'm pretty proud of this pretty sunflower creation.  I found a great pattern and enjoyed making it while evacuating Hurricane Harvey.  Some sunshine to chase away the rain.  :)

Monsters at the library!  Check out our monsterous monster creations we made at Preschoolers at Play this week at Helen Hall Library.  We love all the great programs and activities our local library offers.  They are amazing!

It appears that Star Wars madness has hit my happy home. Owen is obsessed with Star Wars.  He loves the pews (what he calls guns and light sabers), space ships, robots, and fighting.  We got this little boy a pair of Darth Vader and Storm Trooper pjs.  Now they are the only things he'll wear!  Good thing I got 2 so I can wash one while he wears the other.  :)  We found this perfect storm trooper mask at the grocery store and couldn't pass it up.  Now I have one very happy tiny storm trooper on my hands.  :)

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preference for warm

Fun Moments Around the House

Xavier is getting down to work on this year's science fair project.  He's testing to see which oil is best for popping popcorn.  It's important science. John and Diana are enjoying playtime inside boxes, because boxes are the best, of course! John is starting to have fun playdates with friends from the neighborhood.  It's so fun to find good friends who share a love in all things Paw Patrol!
