Old Lady Recognition Techniques, Soccer, and Club Meetings

Grandma Zoie with Jenny, Audrey and Lizzy
A little conversation Rebekah and I had at the library on a recent Thursday:

Rebekah:  Mom, do you know how to tell the difference between an old lady and a young lady?
Me:  What's the difference between an old lady and a young lady?
Rebekah:  It's the hair.  Old ladies have white hair.
Me:  Is Grandma an old lady?  She doesn't have white hair, but she's your grandma.
Rebekah:  She's not that old.  Besides, old ladies have lots of curly hair too.
Me:  Grandma has curly hair.
Rebekah:  Her hair isn't that curly yet.  She's not that old.   It has to be lots of curls close to your head.
Me:  Ok, sounds like a pretty comprehensive method for telling the difference between young ladies and old ladies.

So there you have it.  An old lady has white hair in a tight perm.  Case closed.  :)

Xavier and Abby showing off their Goalie skills during the game.
Soccer games started this Saturday.  I forsee long mornings at the local sports plex watch funny little kid soccer games for the next several weeks.

This is the first year for Xavier to be old enough to be on a team.  He got on the same team as his best buddy, Abby.  He loves every minutes of it.  He gleefully skips after the ball, takes hand holding and hugging breaks with Abby, grins constantly, and generally looks forward to the after game snack.  It's a lot of fun.  :)

Loyd has been super jazzed about clubs recently.  He likes to invite people to join his club, wonder if he is invited to other people's clubs, and think of new clubs to invent and set up.  Here's a funny video he took himself of his latest club setup.  I hope you enjoy it as much as we did.  :)
