Food! Glorious Food!

Loyd finally had his first bite of "solid" food on Wednesday! He loved it and Dustin couldn't shovel the cereal in fast enough for our little man. Loyd loves to taste new foods and wants to try everyone's food. He has to sit at the dinner table with us or he screams. We then have to spend our time keeping a close eye on him or else he will grab food off plates and attempt to eat it. I think he will be a great little eater just like his big sister!

Here is Rebekah posing for a perfect shot from 1985. I saw her hair that morning and just couldn't resist the call of the side pony tale! She is so cute!

Loyd is so handsome! I love this little outfit! He does look a little bit like a lumber jack. Oh, Loyd's a lumber jack and that's OK. He plays all day and he sleeps all night!

Bekah would live in a swimming suit if I let her. She loves to play in the water and thinks she is hot stuff in a swimming suit.

Here is our manly Dustin working on his first official garage project. He is making our first square foot gardening box. Now we just need to locate some vermiculite and buy some seeds and we are ready to go! Happy planting!

Wow! There are fun things happening in the Cornelius household! That will be so fun to have planter boxes and that is wonderful that both your kids are turning out to be happy eaters. It makes life sooo much easier. Dallin is still pretty good, but I'm afraid one day the tables will turn...It looks like you're having a good summer back in TX. It was so fun to see you when you were here!

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preference for warm

Fun Moments Around the House

Xavier is getting down to work on this year's science fair project.  He's testing to see which oil is best for popping popcorn.  It's important science. John and Diana are enjoying playtime inside boxes, because boxes are the best, of course! John is starting to have fun playdates with friends from the neighborhood.  It's so fun to find good friends who share a love in all things Paw Patrol!
