Funny John

This bundle of love and snuggles and big emotions has us all in smiles and laughter all of the time.  John is such a joy in our family and we can't get enough of the funny fun things he does and says all of the time.  Here are a few examples of the silliness he brings into our life so we can share the joy with you.  :)

John, Age 4 and half:
John: Coming into the kitchen with utter heartbreak in his voice and eyes he says to Mom, "My hands!!"
Me: Sincerely concerned something terrible happened to his hands like a pinches finger or something, "What happened!"
John: "There's no corndog in them!" He was utterly devastated until we cooked him up a corndog in the toaster oven to remedy this terrible preschool tragedy.  :D

John, Age 4 and a half, Halloween time:
While helping to carve this pumpkin
Mommy: "John, put your hand inside the pumpkin and scoop out the guts."
John: "I can't!  It's gross!"
Mommy: "You can do it.  You have to be tough."
John: "I can't be tough like a mommy!  I'm going to be like Daddy when I get bigger."
 :D

"
John, age 4 and half, 1 month before his baby sister is born:
John: Pulling Dustin aside to talk confidentially, "Dad, the baby is done."
Dustin: "No, the baby needs to get bigger still."
John: With great concern, "No, she is done.  If the baby gets bigger she'll explode!"
I guess Mommy is looking really big and pregnant at this point.  :D

John, age 4, while eating a subway sandwich for dinner:
John was trying to eat a subway sandwich for dinner, but every time he lifted the sandwich to his mouth some of the veggies would fall out and onto his plate.  Finally in great frustration John complained, "My items keep falling out!"

John's favorite place to sleep is in Mom and Dad's bed.
His favorite toy at the park is the slide!  He absolutely LOVES going down slides.

His favorite person is Daddy.  I can't blame him.  He does have a pretty fabulous Daddy.

His favorite big machine is an excavator.  He was thrilled when our main water pipe broke and he got to have a real mini excavator work at his house!  Mom and Dad were less thrilled with the situation.  ;)

His favorite thing to do is learn.  He is doing so well learning his letters and numbers.  He's a smart kid!

But most important of all, he is everyone's favorite John.  We're so grateful for this fun little guy.
