June in a Whirlwind
School ended with a bang and June kept up the hectic pace with doctor appointments, summer camps, swimming pool fun, home projects, and prepping for the annual big trip to Utah. Here are some snapshots of what we did this June, but it might be easier to post what we didn't do since that would be a way shorter list. :D
Dustin and Xavier braved the heat and the bugs for a totally awesome Under the Sea themed Cub Scouts Twilight evening camp for a whole week. They had fun learning new cub scout skills, eating brown bag dinners together, creating fun crafts, learning to shoot bb guns and bows and arrows, and having a generally fun time together. What a great way to start the summer off for two of my favorite boys. :)
The pool looked too good to pass up. We made a point to spend several evenings cooling off after hot, busy days in our beautiful neighborhood pool. So much fun!
Xavier used his amazing creativity to create this special Father's Day surprise for Dustin. I love how he spelled out "We Love You" in magnatiles and then used family pictures to illustrate his love for Dustin and all he does for our family.
Loyd and Xavier picked VEX Robotics camp again this year as their summer enrichment camp of choice. They did an awesome job designing, building, programming, and driving their awesome robots. Plus, they did all that in just 4 action packed days of robotics camp fun!
Loyd wanted to take a few shots of himself with his Spring garden before we cleaned it up for the summer. What a great hobby gardening has been for this kid. He loves spending his spare time care for and checking on his plants. This kid has some big garden dreams!
