What kids do...
Maeve can scoot, but only backwards. She's on the move!
Bekah can read stories to her brothers and sister. They love hearing Rebekah share a good book, no matter where they happen to be.
All the kids love playing on the tablets. They would do this all day, every day if it wasn't for the interference from presky mom and dad.
Rebekah can sew fun toys and crafts to share. She loves sharing her creations.
Rebekah and Loyd can kick the soccer ball, but only once or twice per game. ;)
Maeve can eat lots of toys, including Mr Potato Head. She traded her frownie face for a smile. :)
The girls both can look pretty as a picture, especially on Sunday in their nice church dresses. :)
Special moment from the week:
Yesterday, we had a special ward activity at the Houston Temple. A walk around the beautiful Temple grounds, a special devotional from a member of the Temple presidency, and a yummy picnic at a nearby park were the agenda for the afternoon. Pres. Nilsen and his wife came and spoke with all the families for the devotional. They came in their beautiful, white temple clothes and taught us about the purpose for temples and why they are so important in building up the Lord's kingdom. At the beginning when they came into the annex to speak with us, Xavier saw them quietly enter through a little used door. His eyes got as wide as dinner saucers and his attention was completely glued to them. When I asked him who the beautifully dressed people were he reverently said, "They're angels coming out of the temple!" When Loyd saw them he quickly asked me, "Mom, are they scientists!" Loyd is always good for a quick smile. :) It was a very sweet and spiritual experience for our family. I hope they make that activity a ward tradition.
