Moving Day

We moved beds around this week. We moved the bunk bed to the kids' room and set up the crib in the new nursery. I'll post pictures of the nursery when we get Grandma C's greatly anticipated quilt for Xavier and hang it up on his wall.

Rebekah and Loyd thought it was the coolest thing ever to see the beds come apart. They also thought we had been holding out on them all this time with the bunk bed. Clearly it's really a jungle gym. :)

Bekah is enjoying her new bed and sprawls all across it at night to bask in it's giant glory. It also makes for a great little fort to play dinosaur train or princesses on. (Don't the valences look great with the bed spreads!? Grandma P. made the valences and we got the quilts from Great Grandma Young. Grandma C. made the beautiful quilts hanging on the wall in the picture below. There is a lot of Grandma love in this room.)

Loyd made the big transition out of the crib and into the toddler bed. We have had a few growing pains to teach him to stay in the bed when it's time for nap time or to go to bed, but overall he is doing great. He LOVES his new found freedom to get up when he is ready and feels like such a big boy in his big boy bed. Next step, potty training. Dun, dun, dun....

We also went through the hand me down clothes and pulled out some new PJs and outfits. Loyd loves his new Thomas the Train PJs (Thanks Aunt Loretta!). When we put them on the first time he was so excited he had to run around the house and tell everyone they were just like Bekah's. Bekah recently learned how to do her own buttons so she wears her Princess PJs (same style as Thomas the Train) nearly every night. Loyd was so please to be a little bit more like his wonderful big sister.

Isn't he cute!

Mr. Xavier is getting so BIG! I can't believe how fast he is growing. He will be one month old tomorrow. Time flies by so fast. We love our good baby.

Miss Bekah is growing up too. She and Daddy have started a new night time tradition. They enjoy watching Star Trek TNG together before bedtime. Dustin is loving this time with her and his favorite show. She seems to enjoy the show too. The other evening we were talking while the show started and she shushed us and said, "I'm trying to watch Star Trek, man!" It was so funny. :-D

Loyd learned "10 Little Soldiers" this week. He loves it; as he should. He giggles like a maniac every time the gun goes "Bang!" and all the soldiers run away.

I counted only one picture of Mr. X. True, your other children are darling and the rooms look great. Perhaps Xavier needs his own blog. :)
