It Must Be Spring
It must be spring! The lilies in our back yard have finally bloomed. I waited all year for them! Every time we go outside Rebekah looks at them and excitedly shouts, "Mamma! The flowers open up!" while she quickly opens and closes her hands. She loves to look at the flowers in the yard.
For FHE on Monday we colored Easter Eggs. It nearly killed Rebekah to wait all day until Dustin got home. Once dinner was done and the eggs came out she couldn't contain herself any longer. I think it took us about 5 minuets to color our 8 eggs and Rebekah loved every second of it. Loyd couldn't care less. He didn't really pay much attention to our mess. :)
Thursday our Ward Playgroup hosted an Easter Egg hunt at a local park. Rebekah found 3 dozen eggs! She was fast and had a great eye for finding hidden treasures. She loved it and we haven't been able to pry the basket from her hands since. She doesn't want anyone to take her candy. ;>)
Loyd found one egg with my prompting. He was much more interested in playing with the toys. He got to swing, play on the slide, and practice climbing. He was so tired he fell asleep in the car on the way home. Thankfully Rebekah is a generous sister and is sharing her candy with her little brother.
Here is just a funny picture we took this afternoon. I put the kids down for a nap, but after 30 minutes and still hearing lots of squeals and giggles coming from their room I decided to investigate. This is what I found. Rebekah had thrown the giraffe tube into Loyd's crib and then climbed in herself. They decided it made quite the neat little tent and were having all sorts of fun "sleeping" and playing in it. These kids just crack me up!
