The End and The Beginning

This week was the last week of school for Rebekah and the last soccer game for the Spring season for both Rebekah and Loyd.

Rebekah did a fabulous job this past school year, excelling at her course work in all subject areas.  I am very proud of her for her diligence and willingness to work and improve her intellect.  I am also proud of her kind heart and the warm, kind way she treats all she meets.

Our last soccer game this week was also our first win of the season.  Rebekah and Loyd really grew as players and improved their listening, obeying, observation, and teamwork skills.  It was a fun season!  We were quite the sight for our last game.  Dustin couldn't come due to work, so it was just me on my own getting 4 happy, busy kids to the field on time, while toting the team snack for the week and a chair from which to watch the game.  I learned that there is no one who carries as much stuff as a three year old with a juice box in hand.  ;>)

Now it is the start of summer.  We kicked off the summer with trips to the park, summer reading program fun at the library, lots of time in the water, getting wet, and Maeve starting to experiment with pulling herself up and standing on her own.

We were both happy and sad to see the completion of some of our fun activities this week, but we are happy to be on to new adventures and a busy, exciting summer ahead. We hope you are too!
