Post Halloween Hangover

Halloween came and went and we're still trying to recover.  Here are a few pictures of our post Halloween activities.  :)
Xavier was the Yellow Angry Bird.  He didn't get into character very effectively.  He's a bit too happy to be an Angry Bird.  :)
Loyd was the Purple Bird from Angry Bird Space.  He has the super Angry Bird power of invisibility.  This comes in quite handy when doing mischievous activities. 
Rebekah was the girl Red Angry Bird.  I think she mistook crazy for angry when we took this picture.  :)
Maeve was the star of the show as the Bag Piggie.  I guess life is pretty sweet when you're bad.

 Thanks Grandma P for making such wonderful costumes!  It was a Halloween to remember.

 Can you guess what Xavier's dress-up costume is?  That's right!  He's a sword fighting, rocket flying, bunny ear wearing Percy the Train Engine.  I knew you would get it on the first guess.  How could you not from such an authentic costume?

Halloween festivities weren't the only thing we've been doing.  On Sunday, November 4th Dustin gave Maeve a name and a blessing in the Church.  We blessed her at home and invited a few friends to join us.  Our parents were both able to watch the blessing too by using Skype video messaging.  I crocheted Maeve's dress and my mom made the beautiful red slip.  Dustin gave her a beautiful blessing.  Then we all went to the kitchen for yummy pizza and delicious key lime cupcakes.  It was really nice.  Maeve is a special little girl and we were so happy we could share her special day with dear friends and family.

AJR Music Concert

Dustin and I took Loyd, Xavier, and Maeve to see one of their favorite bands, AJR, in concert in Salt Lake.  We went to see the AJR: Somewhere in the Sky concert!  It was so GREAT!  We had a fun listening to all the opening bands and hanging out people watching. Maeve ditched us to sit with her friend as soon as she found out she was there too.  Maeve screamed and cheered so much she was horse for the next day.  :D It was a lot of fun.  We definitely would do it again. :D

Thanksgiving Point Has Given Us A Great Year

Last Christmas we were gifted a Thanksgiving Point family membership and we weren't really sure how often we were going to use it. Once, maybe twice?  Well, at the end of this fun year of Thanksgiving Point fun we have gone 19 times!   We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, holidays, and extended family time here this year.  We had fun visiting all of the different museums, playing on the many kid adventure sites, riding ponies - real and carrousel ones-, watching outdoor movies, roaming the beautiful gardens, learning all about dinosaurs, discovering the tulip festival, holding butterflies in our own hands, having our testimonies touched by the sculpture gardens, and being wowed by the Christmas lights of Luminaria.     It's been an awesome year!  Thanks Thanksgiving Point! Not Much Happening In Our Neck of the Woods

Not much to tell from our end of Texas. We've just been keeping busy keeping busy. We have started doing a small story time on Wednesdays with a few friends. The kids love it. Rebekah likes spending time with the other kids and Loyd adores doing the finger plays. I'm sure Great Grandma Young is helping him learn all the actions. He's really quite good at them and picks up the plays rather quickly. Loyd also went in for his 18 month old well baby visit. Everything is looking good for our young man. He is tall and skinny and seems to be ahead of the curve on his developmental milestones. The pediatrician was impressed. Rebekah is turning into quite the social butterfly. She loves to play with her friends. She would have them come over every day, all day if she could. When they have to go home she turns to Loyd and spends the rest of the afternoon telling him what to do. She taught him a few games with some carpet squares and has him trained on how to play a good g...
