Is It Fall Yet?

We had rain today after 3 weeks of dry, sunny weather and the temperatures are finally starting to dip down into more comfortable ranges. I'm hoping this beautiful weather sticks! We have tons of cute pictures of the kids, so enjoy!


Bekah was having a field day with all the leaves in the back yard. Here she is creating her own leaf storm with her friend Libby. Too cute!


After throwing lots of leaves the girls decided to take an art break and draw some masterpieces on the driveway. They are very talented.


Loyd is very good to put up with random Bekah hugs when he is in the middle of rolling up the rug in the living room. These two love playing together all day long.


I just thought this was cute! They are laughing at each other. They think they are pretty hilarious.


Here is Dustin playing his favorite lazy parent game. Bekah gets a kick out of hiding under blankets and insists that Dad play with her when he comes home from work. Mostly, Dustin is required to sit under the presented blanket for 10 or 15 minutes until Bekah moves on to a new game. Dustin doesn't mind this low impact/low energy demand. (Honestly, I think he takes a short nap while "hiding")


Ah, my son is already feasting on words. I knew he would enjoy books just like his mama and big sister!


He is so sweet when he is sleeping. Sleep tight baby boy.

We've started to feel the fall weather coming as well, and I welcome it. Looks like you guys do too.

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preference for warm

Fun Moments Around the House

Xavier is getting down to work on this year's science fair project.  He's testing to see which oil is best for popping popcorn.  It's important science. John and Diana are enjoying playtime inside boxes, because boxes are the best, of course! John is starting to have fun playdates with friends from the neighborhood.  It's so fun to find good friends who share a love in all things Paw Patrol!
