Tiger Diana

Diana has a very special talent.  She is able to color all over herself with markers and not get a single ink stroke on her clothes.  She loves her clothes and does not what to make them dirty.  She does think that drawing on herself makes her pretty and she especially feels pretty when she draws on herself to make herself look like a tiger.  Grrrr!  Careful, this kitty has claws!

Funny Diana Big Cat Story:
Diana runs up to me pointing to her knee.  "Mommy, Mommy, Mommy! A tiger scratched my knee!  No, a baby cheetah scratched my knee!  No, a GIANT cheetah scratched my knee.  Baby cheetah's are cute.  Giant cheetah's are mean."  I carefully inspected her injured knee.  There was no visible scratch.  That little detail did not stop Diana from telling everyone she met for 3 days about her brush with near knee decapitation from a giant cheetah.  :D (Jan. 2025, age 3 yrs)

AJR Music Concert

Dustin and I took Loyd, Xavier, and Maeve to see one of their favorite bands, AJR, in concert in Salt Lake.  We went to see the AJR: Somewhere in the Sky concert!  It was so GREAT!  We had a fun listening to all the opening bands and hanging out people watching. Maeve ditched us to sit with her friend as soon as she found out she was there too.  Maeve screamed and cheered so much she was horse for the next day.  :D It was a lot of fun.  We definitely would do it again. :D

Not Much Happening In Our Neck of the Woods

Not much to tell from our end of Texas. We've just been keeping busy keeping busy. We have started doing a small story time on Wednesdays with a few friends. The kids love it. Rebekah likes spending time with the other kids and Loyd adores doing the finger plays. I'm sure Great Grandma Young is helping him learn all the actions. He's really quite good at them and picks up the plays rather quickly. Loyd also went in for his 18 month old well baby visit. Everything is looking good for our young man. He is tall and skinny and seems to be ahead of the curve on his developmental milestones. The pediatrician was impressed. Rebekah is turning into quite the social butterfly. She loves to play with her friends. She would have them come over every day, all day if she could. When they have to go home she turns to Loyd and spends the rest of the afternoon telling him what to do. She taught him a few games with some carpet squares and has him trained on how to play a good g...

Diana loves to play babies! John is figuring out how to take selfies  And everyone loves a good gerbil snuggle CiCi wanted to see what all the fuss was about and decided to learn to play Magic the Gathering with Loyd's deck when he wasn't around to stop her.  X-)
