Happy Birthday, Diana!!

Where has the time gone?! My baby turned two and I can hardly believe it!  She's filled with lots of fun personality and amazes us all the time with how clever and quick she is.  She gives amazing hugs and snuggles.  She says all the things on her mind (but we don't always understand what those things are, yet).  She has the most expressive body language, and loves to laugh.  She's always excited to snuggle and read books together and can't get enough fun sleepovers in the little boys' room with her brothers.  Diana loves going to Nursery at church, playing baby dolls and animals, and wearing super cute clothes.  I love that I get to spend my days with this little ball of sunshine and energy.  Happy Birthday, Diana!  You are the icing on our family cake!




To celebrate our bright little star we had a fun family party where we ate grilled pizza (made deliciously by Dustin), ate another pina colada cake (because it is just that good!), and opened some fun presents.  Diana took a little training from Dustin and the other kids to teach her how to blow out the candles on her cake, but once she grasp the concept of blowing she masterfully extinguished both candles in one quick blow.  She's a quick study! Birthday dinners are always the best.  I love the excitement and love that fills our home with each one.  







This year Loyd went above and beyond on awesome oldest brother duty.  For Diana's birthday he took all the kids out for hot cocoa in the 'jamas.  Best big brother birthday surprise ever!

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preferenc...

Fun Moments Around the House

Xavier is getting down to work on this year's science fair project.  He's testing to see which oil is best for popping popcorn.  It's important science. John and Diana are enjoying playtime inside boxes, because boxes are the best, of course! John is starting to have fun playdates with friends from the neighborhood.  It's so fun to find good friends who share a love in all things Paw Patrol!
