Working Life
Check out the cute new bag boy at Ridley's Grocery Store (technically he's called a courtesy clerk)!
I couldn't be prouder of this hard working young man. Loyd went out on his own to make a resume, track down job leads, interview for jobs, and finally scored himself a sweet, sweet position at Ridley's Family Market. The grocery store is the one his Grandpa and Grandma Phillips help build in the late '80s, but later sold to another owner.
Grandpa Phillips first entered the workforce as a bag boy at a local grocery store and I know he is smiling from Heaven that his grandson is too. I know Loyd will work hard and be a credit to the family. Go Loyd!
With Loyd moving on to more formal work, the big boys decided Maeve needed to learn how to mow lawns to help Xavier with his budding lawn mowing business (Okay, it's just his grandparents and one of Grandma P's friends, but still!).
Xavier coached Maeve on her first ever attempt to mow the lawn. I think she did pretty well and worked hard, but she might need one more summer before she has the muscle to control the lawn mowing beast.
