Pet Post - the Mammals

 Here are some pics of the newest Cornelius family additions - at least the mammal ones.  :) 

The New Mouse Friends
Licorice the Mouse - Xavier's favorite furry pall.  Turns out you can train a cute little mouse to give kisses.  Who knew?!




Buttercup the Mouse - the cutest little squinty-eyed mouse you ever did see.  If only we had a pair of mouse sized glasses then maybe we might catch him reading books all night long instead of running his wheel. 

The Gerbil Bachelors  
I spy Tornado!  This young guy is sure a lot of fun to play with and always keeps the trio on their toes with his youthful shenanigans. 

Tangey and Legacy - the original dream team.  These two have been buddies from the start and they both have so much to love about them.  We just love our fury little friends. 
Tangey Gerbil - Peak a Boo!  Tangey recently visited the local veterinarian to fish a sore tooth problem.  We're so happy he is feeling better, and I'm sure his is too.  We also learned that Gerbils make the best nurses.  Legacy and Tornado groomed, and snuggled, and brought treats to their groggy friend after his problem tooth extraction.  He sure felt loved in his time of need.  Maybe we can all learn a little about watch-care from our little gerbil friends.   

Legacy Gerbil - He's definitely the boss of the cage and probably one of the sassiest gerbils he have, but he's mellowing into a touch of sweetness as he ages.  We just love watching this sleek guy enjoy a tasty treat or snuggle his brothers. 

Loyd adores his furry friends.  When ever he gets a moment his is snuggled up with one or two or three furry friends at at time, giving snuggles and setting up fun mazes and experiences to enrich their lives as much as they enrich his life.  For such little fellows they certainly bring a lot of love into a home.

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preference for warm

Fun Moments Around the House

Xavier is getting down to work on this year's science fair project.  He's testing to see which oil is best for popping popcorn.  It's important science. John and Diana are enjoying playtime inside boxes, because boxes are the best, of course! John is starting to have fun playdates with friends from the neighborhood.  It's so fun to find good friends who share a love in all things Paw Patrol!
