March - May Water Fun

As soon as the temps start to rise and the sun comes out we get antsy to start playing in the H2O.  Here's some of our Spring season attempts to play in the sand and surf this year.
This is the face John makes when he goes to the beach.  I think we have some work ahead of us to turn that frown upside-down so he can smile his summers away. Good thing we started warming him up to the idea of sand and sea in March. :)

Vising the neighborhood pool in April.  The temperature outside was in the mid 80s, but the night time temps were still in the 50s.  That means the water was around 68F.  Turns out that is still too cold for us SouthEaster Texans.  :D  We had fun dipping our toes in, but didn't stay for too long as our lips were turning blue!

By the beginning of May we decided to try out the local Splash Pad at Texas Avenue Park.  Owen had a blast; John is still trying to figure out what all the hype is about regarding water.

May 2019, the official start to summer water fun and John's first willing toe dips into a pool without crying.  Progress!  All it took was a super sunny, warm day, lots of warm water and water squirters, and fun with the big brothers and sisters.  Bring on Summer!  We're ready to get wet!

Double rainbow! The last day of May brought a beautiful double rainbow sighting and an awesome puddle jumping opportunity in the backyard.  We love to get dirty!  Not everyone is quite as excited about the showers afterwards.
