Easter Pics

Maeve really got the hang of Easter Egg hunting this year.  She was super jazzed to discover that the brightly colored eggs held candy inside!  Yum!

Why find more eggs when the one you have has marshmellows that need to be eaten inside!

Getting down to business.  Eating as much candy as possible before the parents find their perfect picnic spot at the park.  :)

We dyed a few dozen eggs at home on Saturday night.  Maeve was pretty sure it was magic when the white eggs came out green after putting them in the cups.  She LOVED it and threw a huge tantrum when we ran out of eggs.  Poor thing has to wait until next year for another magic show.
Rebekah added lots of designs to her eggs.  She was the egg dye master with her wax crayon art, tie-dye techniques, and multicolored eggs.  She's such a crafty kid.  I love her mad art skills.
Loyd was diligent and worked hard to put all his eggs in as many colors as he could get his hands on.  He came up with some pretty interesting color combinations.  Love his enthusiasm!
Xavier won the prize for the most yellow eggs dyed in a single evening.  Yellow is his favorite color and he sure had fun making a ton of brightly colored eggs to represent his color love.  It was very serious work.  :)

On your marks!
Get Set!
Go!

After the egg hunt we had our first annual Cornelius Confetti Egg Fight.  The kids LOVED this.  Where was giggling, running, and confetti everywhere.  We'll definitely be doing this every year.
The kids ready to start the egg confetti fun.
Attack! Loyd seemed to be everyone's favorite victim.  He took it well though.  :)

Xavier didn't think he got enough confetti in his hair so he took matters into his own hands.  :)
Happy Easter!
