Wall-E Birthday!
Can you guess how old our little Mr. X is now? That's right! He's reached the ripe old age of 4. According to him, "I bigger now," and he can do everything. We are so excited to have this special Spirit in our family. His near constant cheerful grin is contagious, his giggles peel through the home at all times of day, and he gives out some of the best hugs and kisses around. He is my example of Christlike love and happiness. I am so grateful for his uplifting influence on our family and for the privilege of receiving all sorts of compliments on his adorableness from strangers whenever we go out. Happy birthday, Xavier! We all love you so much!
Upon request, we had a Wall-E themed birthday party for Mr X. He was super jazzed about playing with his new Wall-E robots. We had friends come over and play Wall-E themed games like, "Pick up the Trash for Wall-E," "Pin the Plant on Wall-E," and "Space Parachute." We also ate some Robot themed snacks to keep our little robot friends fed and fueled. It was a lot of fun to play with so many great friends and celebrate one of our favorite people. :)
Maeve discovered the joys of balloons at Xavier's party. When she first saw the balloons floating around the living room she stopped and stared up at them, giggling for several minutes. She couldn't believe how these cool things just seemed to float in the air when everything else drops to the ground. She couldn't leave these new toys alone, soon gathering quite the little following of floating friends. She laughed and smiled and squeeled with delight at these funny round objects who unaccountable defy gravity all day long. What a fun treat to see her get so excited about a simple balloon. I guess we know what we have to get her for her next birthday. ;)
At the end of the day we all took a much needed relaxation break. I think I may have a little bookworm on my hands. Books seem to be some of Maeve's favorite toys. Hey, I'm totally happy about that! Bring on the books!
