Summer Fun at Grandma Phillips' House

After 3 long days in the car we made it to Utah and will be spending the summer in Morgan with my mom while we house hunt.  Cross your fingers we get something perfect for our family!  Here are some pictures of what we've been busy doing this summer.

Loyd learned how to drive Grandpa's ride-on lawn mower to help Grandma with her yardwork.

John learned how to turn the lawn mower on all by himself so Dad was forced to give him a ride around the backyard before John took matters into his own hands and drove himself!

Owen is practicing for his future as one of Grandma's best lawn mowers.  
Maeve discovered her perfect secret hide-away fairyland under Grandma's beautiful fir trees in her front yard.

It isn't a trip to Grandma's house without an awesome bubble bath in the jalousie tub!


Breaking in Grandma's new swing set.  John adores the swings.  He can swing all day long in Grandma's beautiful yard.
As always, Owen is busy creating magical things.
We celebrated our favorite Dad on Father's Day - Thank you Dustin for all of the many things you do for us and the blessings you bring into our lives!  We love you!
Spent a rare park day with our DuBray friends.  We missed them so much!

Enjoying a famous Morgan Jay's Tangee treat with cousins on a hot summer evening. Raspberry swirl, yum!






Cousin day, craft day!  Glitter is everywhere!!!!




Our homemade Fourth of July firework display was perhaps the best Morgan has ever seen thanks to all the neighbor contributions.  It was over an hour of firework awesomeness!

It's About Time We Got Some Snow Around Here

It's been a bit of a warm and dry winter, until our latest epic snow storm!!  We didn't get as much snow as high elevations, but I'm happy with 9 inches in 3 days.  Diana is all in when it comes to playing in the snow, the little boys have been busy as beavers digging snow forts, and Maeve has found that digging out snow paths with her friend Lilly is a great way to "chill" during the afternoon.  :D  The big kids have been busy helping Dustin and I keep the street shoveled out.  Dustin wakes up early every morning to use my Dad's snow plow to clear all of the sidewalks on our street  before the kids have to walk to school. The kids and I have been working hard to keep our driveway and the driveways of some of our elder neighbors cleared after all of this wonderful snowfall.  It's been a fun wintertime treat.  The ward to the child who shoveled the most for this storm goes to Rebekah!  She's a pretty awesome snow shoveler despite her preference for warm

Fun Moments Around the House

Xavier is getting down to work on this year's science fair project.  He's testing to see which oil is best for popping popcorn.  It's important science. John and Diana are enjoying playtime inside boxes, because boxes are the best, of course! John is starting to have fun playdates with friends from the neighborhood.  It's so fun to find good friends who share a love in all things Paw Patrol!
