Halloween Doily #1

Image
I've been wanting a festive Halloween doily for several years now.  I've just finally gotten around to it on my never ending to-do list and think it turned out pretty darn cute.  Here's my finished doily for all my granny friends who appreciate such silly things.  :) Go doilies!

Look Out, She's 2!

Miss Maeve turned two years old this week and we sure had fun celebrating with her.  She has grown so much over the past two years.  She has won all of our hearts and figured out how to wrap us around her little finger pretty effectively with her big cheesy grins, exuberant giggles, and toothy kisses.  Maeve makes sure she is always in the middle of whatever fun her brothers are getting up to.  She also loves to stay up late playing Webkinz and chatting with her big sister.  She is quick to snuggle with her daddy on the couch or sing and dance with Mommy at library story time.    Her favorite things to say recently are: No, no, no. Xavier:   No, it watches me all the time and goes were I go. Dad:  Why do you think it does that? Xavier:   Silly, because it likes me! (giggling follows).  The sun is my friend.  That conversation explains so much about Mr. Xavier's sunny disposition.  :) Tadpoles: Here is a picture of our makeshift Tupperware tadpole habitat.  Can you see the little black tadpoles inside?  Thanks to some very amorous frogs and lots of happy rain we noticed an overabundance of tadpoles in a quickly disappearing puddle in the front yard yesterday.  Not wanting to pass up a good science experiment we rescued some baby frogs from their quickly shrinking home and brought them inside.  The kids are very excited about their new "p...
