Toothless and Trouble

Image
Trouble Miss Trouble, a.k.a. Maeve Maeve's new trick is to climb onto the kitchen counter all by herself.  She loves to get into whatever happens to be out on the counter or to stand up and do a joyful little tap dance until Mom or Dad lay eyes on her in terror and sweep her to the floor again.  It's hours of fun, but I'm not saying for who. Toothless Loyd's first missing tooth. Loyd lost his very first tooth on Friday!  He lost it at school while eating a ring pop from the Good Behavior Treasure Box.  He was so excited to come home and show me first thing his little baby tooth in its plastic treasure box.  He said it didn't even hurt or bleed or anything.  :)  We put his precious little tooth in our Tooth Fairy pillow where she happily exchanged his clean tooth for a new dollar during the night.  Loyd went to sleep that night with a flashlight next to his bed, ready to catch the Tooth Fairy when she made her appearance....

End of Spring Soccer Season

Image
This last Saturday marked the end of the 2014 Spring Soccer Season.  The boys did great and we all had a fun time.  We also decided that 3-4 year old soccer games are the most entertaining to watch.  :)  Here are a few pictures from our last game.    Xavier with is team, the Green Dragons.  Go Dragons! Handsome Xavier   Xavier in action!  He turned into a great soccer player, with 3 goals (2 for us and 1 for the other team), lots of assists, and great field running to his credit this season.  He really loved soccer.  We'll have to sign him up again for sure. Xavier and his friend Abby showing off their trophies. Action shots of Loyd!   He was an amazing goalie and defender.  He saved the ball from going into his goal at least 5 times in his last game.  He learned how to follow the ball, stay focused during the game, and have fun with his teammates.  Of course, the last was the...

Odds and Ends of Maeve

Maeve sporting an awesome dress up.  Wise this child is.  Much loved Star Wars is here.  May the Force be with you.  Yoda Maeve   Sometimes when you are having too much fun playing outside in the water it's just easier to stop and get a drink from the Slip and Slide rather than find your sippy cup.  Maeve showing off our Spring harvest.   After 10 years, countless plants, and nearly giving up, we finally harvested our very first zucchini!  Yea!  Maeve thinks they are pretty yummy.  Xavier thinks they aren't.  ;)

Webkinz Birthday Blowout!

Image
The Birthday Girl Herself with the Webkinz for her party guests to adopt. Rebekah was kind enough to have a birthday, which gave us the perfect excuse to invite our friends over for a Webkinz Party Extravaganza!  We all had lots of fun celebrating our favorite Rebekah and one of her favorite things, Webkinz! As guests arrived they each got to adopt their very own Webkinz and then decorate a canvas bag for their new furry friend.  We had lots of creative designs from our young artists.  After we finished our craft we had to have a few lessons on how to properly take care of our new Webkinz friends.  We played "Musical Oranges" to practice feeding our new friends good food.  We also played "Webkinz Red Light, Green Light" to make sure they got plenty of exercise.  We followed the food and exercise with a bit of hard work.  We needed to decorate our Webkinz' room, but didn't have any furniture.  To solove this problem we...
