Fall Moments

Just a couple of fun Autumn moments in our new home.  The kids are enjoying their two new seasons - Fall and Winter

Trick - or - Treat

Image
Happy Halloween 2020 style!  This year we had to be more thoughtful about how we trick-or-treated.  So, we only went to family houses, wore our stylish face masks, and made the kids put their candy on a covid timeout for 3 days before digging in to their hard won spoils.  It was still lots of fun and the weather was great!   Rebekah - Fencer (the sword carrying kind) Loyd - Cool looking fantasy dude from last Halloween Xavier - solder, same as last Halloween Maeve - Fortnight girl disguised as a dragon Owen - Bonenapper Dragon or Skeleton Dragon, you pick John - Adorable giraffe  Halloween Party Bus!

Remodel Update - The Morgan House

Image
Dustin and John ripping up the old flooring We've been busy replacing all  the flooring, repainting everything, and adding new design touches to the new house.  It's a lot of work, but it's more fun to do this time around knowing we get to stay and enjoy it for years to come this time around.  Here's some pictures of what we're busy doing around here.   Super cute entryway shoe and coat organizing corner curtesy of Karen and her mad building and designing skills!  It's so pretty and functional! It's a little bit more like home now that our beautiful wooden Texas from our dear friends Craig and Tussy Norman is up and proudly displayed in our entryway.  Texas Proud! Dustin showing John the ropes on how to do dishes in our new kitchen.   Check out our new dining room table!  I LOVE it!  I just love having my family gathered round and talking together and enjoying one another's company.  :)

Partings

Image
There are partings in this life that come far too soon.  This autumn we lost our beloved gerbil friends Legacy and Tangee.  We had a wonderful 3 years with these busy, snuggly furry friends.  We are heartbroken at their loss, but know it is not forever.  We look forward to seeing them again one day in Heaven.  They taught us so much about love and service.  They enriched our lives and made us better for being part of our family.  We love you and miss you Legacy (black) and Tangee (tan)!  Legacy passed way September 8, 2020 Tangee passed way September 27, 2020

Maeve's Baptism Day

Image
It's great to be 8!   Maeve chose to follow the example of our Savior, Jesus Christ and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on October 10th in the Morgan Utah Stake, as part of our new ward, Morgan 3rd Ward.  We are so proud of Maeve.  It is such a wonderful experience to watch you grow your testimony and become more like Jesus every day.  We love you Maeve! Maeve was baptized and confirmed by her Dad, Dustin Cornelius at the Morgan Utah Stake Center.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions we had a family only ceremony with no talks and everyone wore face masks.  It was a baptism for the history books.  We are so thankful for Jesus Christ and for the saving ordinances that lead us down the path to eternal salvation and life with Heavenly Father.  I am so thankful Maeve has taken her first step down this path toward eternal happiness.  We are truly blessed.

Happy Birthday Xavier

This good looking kid turned 11!  Happiest of Birthdays, Xavier!  Xavier is my rock.  He is a solid, kind, hardworking young man.  He is a loving and playful brother, a great listener, has an inquiring mind, he's always trying to figure the world out.  Xavier is fun to talk with.  He's a great friend and a loving, obedient son.  I am so excited to see Xavier grown and develop into an awesome young man this next year.  He is my Mr. Sunshine and brings so much joy and happiness into our family.  I'm so thankful this special spirit is part of my forever family.  Love you, Xavier!
